The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), on Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, received a delegation from the College of Business and Management Studies (CBMS), Kaduna Polytechnic, led by Dr. Talatu Rayya Umar, Chairperson of the CBMS Journal and Conference Committee, on a courtesy visit in the spirit of goodwill and institutional neighbourliness.
The delegation formally presented an invitation to the Executive Chairman, Comrade Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, to serve as the Keynote Speaker at the Opening Ceremony of the CBMS Annual National Conference 2026, themed “Digital Transformation and Tax Reforms: Shaping the Future of Work in Nigeria.”
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the significance of the conference theme, particularly its relevance to the ongoing digital transformation and tax reform initiatives in Kaduna State. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and public institutions in shaping policy discourse and strengthening governance.
The Executive Director, Revenue Operations, Dr. Muhammad Lawal, welcomed the delegation and expressed delight at the engagement, noting his strong affinity with academic institutions as an academician. He commended the initiative and highlighted the value of intellectual exchange between revenue administrators and scholars.
Also present was the Executive Director, Standards and Compliance, Alh. Ali Garba Gora, who reiterated the Service’s commitment to sustaining institutional collaboration with Kaduna Polytechnic beyond the conference engagement. Other Heads of Units and staff of the Service were also in attendance.
