The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, hosted a delegation from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), led by the Kaduna State Coordinator, Mrs. Tabitha Yaro-Dabai, on a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration on individual identity integration and revenue administration. The delegation was received by the Executive Chairman, Comrade Jerry Adams, alongside senior management staff of KADIRS at the corporate Headquarters of the Service.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman reaffirmed KADIRS’ commitment to working closely with NIMC to strengthen taxpayer identification systems, promote voluntary compliance, and support sustainable revenue growth through technology-driven solutions. The engagement underscores KADIRS’ dedication to institutional partnership, digital transformation, and seamless identity verification in Kaduna State.

Earlier, in her remarks, the State Coordinator of NIMC, Mrs. Yaro-Dabai, emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate identity records, including provisions for correcting personal details such as names, phone numbers, and addresses. She also noted ongoing collaboration with financial institutions to facilitate card collection and strengthen identity verification systems

At the parley, discussions focused on aligning the National Identification Number (NIN) with the Tax Identification (TAX ID) to improve data accuracy and enhance compliance processes across the state. Key areas highlighted included identity modification and correction services, collaboration on electronic card processes, and improved coordination to support annual tax filing and revenue operations.
