On 4th March, 2026, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, received in audience a delegation from the Joint Committee of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barnawa and Kaduna Branches.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman commended the Joint Committee for its commitment to eliminating corruption through sustained advocacy and anti-corruption campaigns. He noted that such initiatives are essential in promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance.
He also pledged the continued support of the Service to the Association in ensuring meaningful engagements that will strengthen institutional collaboration. The Executive Chairman further called on the Association to advocate for step-down sensitisation programmes on the new tax laws among its members.
Earlier in their separate remarks, the Chairman of the Barnawa Branch, Hon. Barrister V. A. B. Ewuzie, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Joint Committee, appreciated the level of support the Association has received from the Executive Chairman and assured him of the Association’s commitment to working with the Service to ensure the achievement of its revenue generation targets.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Kaduna Branch, Barrister Aisha Abdu Muhammad, and Co-Chair of the Joint Committee, expressed the Committee’s readiness to collaborate and work hand in hand with the Service to promote a corruption-free society. She also assured that members and law chambers under the Association will be encouraged to fulfil their tax obligations promptly.
Those present at the parley included the Director of Finance, Alhaji Alamin Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of Planning and Statistics, Mr. Paul Michael, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, and the Head of Corporate Communications, Zakari Jamilu Muhammad.
